The Rockville Silver Diner has been a key part of Jerry’s life since 1989 and the lives of his former wife and now his new wife. "It continues to be our favorite “go to” restaurant," said Jerry.
Earlier this year Jerry and Pat enjoyed a special wedding day celebration at the Silver Diner in Rockville.
NAOMI
After a happy marriage of many years, and 3 years of widowhood, friends convinced me to do online dating. Hesitantly, I did meet some nice men online, but none appealed to me as much as Jay, a widower about my age. After some phone calls, we decided to meet for coffee at Silver Diner in the afternoon of March 10, 2020. We shook hands and quickly sanitized our hands since Covid was just beginning. Our conversation over coffee was wonderful. He even offered to treat me for something more substantial. This led to many more one-on-one, but distanced, conversations over the months that followed. Kind of an old-fashioned courtship of getting to know about one another. In November, we decided to try being together. At our advanced ages, why waste time? It has been a fantastic four years together. We had another Silver Diner anniversary dinner last month. Thank you, Silver Diner.

Thank you, Silver Diner, for helping us celebrate mom’s 90th birthday, my 60th birthday, and my nephew’s 30th birthday! When my family from Georgia came to visit, I knew that taking them to Silver Diner was the perfect place to celebrate our birthdays. As a vegan, Silver Diner has so many delicious plant-based menu choices for me, but also everything my non-vegan family would want to eat. I’m so thrilled that you brought back the “Just Eggs Benedict”! As a member of the deaf community, I can attest that the staff at Silver Diner is always accommodating to understand our menu choices and make sure we have everything we need. We appreciate the delicious food, great atmosphere, and helpful staff in making our “90-60-30 Birthday Blast” a huge success!
TOM & KATELYN
Tom and Katelyn met in 2022 and were in a long distance relationship (UK-US). Every time Tom and Katelyn would meet in the US, their first stop was always Silver Diner. We always loved Silver Diner because it caters to all of our dietary needs and restrictions. Tom and Katelyn closed the distance and got married in 2024 and it was only right to have their wedding reception at Silver Diner, which also happens to be right around the corner from our new home. Cheers to Silver Diner and thank you for having us💛
